Dr. Nuria Giné-Nokes was born in Venezuela and spent the first several years of her life moving between Venezuela, Catalonia (Spain), and the US, before settling permanently in the US at age 11. She speaks English, Catalan, Spanish, and some French. She graduated from Dartmouth College with Honors in Biology, and received her MD from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. Her pediatric residency was completed at the University of Rochester. Following residency, Dr. Giné-Nokes completed a fellowship in General Pediatrics at Boston Medical Center, where she performed research in pediatric oral health and concurrently received her Master’s in Public Health. Prior to joining Lexington Pediatrics in 2008, she spent five years in practice at a community health center in Jamaica Plain. She is an Instructor in Pediatrics, part time, at Harvard Medical School and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, outdoor activities, creative hobbies, and traveling.
