Dr. Justin Sweder grew up in Lexington, MA and now lives in Arlington with his wife and two teenage children. Dr. Sweder received a B.A. in psychobiology from Yale and an M.D. from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He completed his residency at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland and practiced pediatrics in the Bay Area, California for more than a decade. Dr. Sweder has a particular interest in developmental pediatrics and worked with children with autism and other special needs prior to attending medical school. Dr. Sweder also enjoys working with residents and in 2010 was awarded the House Staff Teaching Award by Children’s Hospital Oakland Residents for “unmatched dedication to resident education and excellence, and tireless enthusiasm.” Dr. Sweder speaks Spanish and knows a little American Sign Language. He is Board Certified in Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Sweder enjoys sports (go Red Sox), travel, camping, strategy games, and spending time with his family, and is thrilled to be back in Lexington!
