Susanne Maher

Susanne Maher, PNP, received her BA in English at Boston College in 1989 while playing basketball and captaining the team for two years. She then received her MA in Counseling Psychology from Boston College in 1991. After working as a high school adolescent adjustment counselor and an addictions counselor, she received her BS in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1993. She worked as a pediatric inpatient nurse at Baystate Medical Center in western Massachusetts and Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire. She also worked as a nurse manager at the Community Health Center at Dartmouth Hitchcock before graduating with her MS from Boston College in 1998. She was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau honor society and certified as a pediatric nurse practitioner by the ANCC. Before joining Lexington Pediatrics, Susanne worked as a pediatric nurse practitioner for a community health center in Dorchester, MA and a pediatric practice in Norwood, MA. Outside of the office Susanne enjoys spending time with her three children, her extended family, and her dog. She also enjoys sports and meditation.
